Elevait Data Deletion Policy
1. Introduction
At Elevait, we respect your right to control your personal information. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and personal data, what information will be deleted, what information we may retain, and the timeframes that apply.
This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
2. Who We Are
Elevait is an AI-powered career services platform owned and operated by Pract Digital Innovation Lab.
Throughout this Policy, the terms “Elevait”, “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to Pract Digital Innovation Lab.
3. Your Right to Request Deletion
You may request the deletion of your Elevait account and associated personal information at any time.
You can submit a deletion request through your account settings (where available) or by contacting our support team using the contact details provided at the end of this Policy.
To protect your privacy and security, we may verify your identity before processing your request.
4. What Information Will Be Deleted
When your deletion request is approved and processed, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with your account, including, where applicable:
- your profile information;
- account details;
- uploaded CVs and career documents;
- AI-generated CVs and cover letters;
- CV Review & Revamp reports;
- Human Expert Review reports;
- saved drafts;
- account preferences;
- customer support information, where it is no longer required; and
- other personal information that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
Where information has been anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to you, it may be retained for statistical, analytical, or service improvement purposes.
5. Information We May Retain
In certain circumstances, we may retain limited information after your account has been deleted where retention is required or permitted by law.
This may include:
- transaction records;
- invoices;
- payment references;
- tax and accounting records;
- fraud prevention records;
- security logs;
- records required to resolve legal disputes; and
- information required to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Where information is retained for these purposes, it will only be kept for as long as necessary and will not be used for unrelated purposes.
Elevait does not retain your payment card details. Payments are processed securely by authorised third-party payment providers.
6. Processing Time
Once we receive a valid account deletion request and have successfully verified your identity, we will process the request within 30 days.
If additional time is required due to exceptional circumstances or legal obligations, we will inform you where reasonably practicable.
7. Uploaded Documents
If you upload a CV or other career document for analysis but do not complete a purchase, the uploaded file will be automatically deleted from our storage within 90 days of the upload date.
Documents associated with completed purchases may remain available in your account while your account is active. If you request account deletion, these documents will also be deleted unless we are legally required to retain them.
8. AI Processing and Deleted Data
When your personal information is deleted from Elevait, it will no longer be available through your account.
Elevait does not use your personal information, uploaded documents, or career content to train its own AI models.
Where technical controls are available, we configure our AI providers so that user prompts, uploaded documents, and generated outputs are not used to train publicly available AI models without your explicit consent.
9. Withdrawal of Consent
Where we rely on your consent to process personal information, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawfully carried out before consent was withdrawn.
Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain Services.
10. Requests Made in Error
If you submit a deletion request by mistake, you may contact our support team before the deletion process has been completed.
Once your account and associated personal information have been permanently deleted, they cannot be recovered.
We encourage you to download any career documents you wish to keep before requesting account deletion.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal obligations, or data handling practices.
The latest version will always be available on the Elevait website.
